How do authentic assessments affect students at Trường Tương Lai?

Authentic assessment is an important teaching strategy used as opposed to memorization and standardized examinations. Teachers use this with the idea of evaluating students' skills in real-world situations. Project-based assessments are used by teachers, where students complete activities related to real-world applications of the material they have studied. For instance, in General English, students may discuss movie reviews to evaluate their four macro skills in the English language (reading, speaking, listening, and writing), testing their prior knowledge on things related to the topic and then using their macro skills in conveying their ideas. Through assessments, teachers can compile and showcase the students' development and understanding. Teachers also use reflective writing, where students write about their learning experiences, to help students self-evaluate and become aware of their learning progress. These methods focus on skills like communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking—all of which are essential in real-world scenarios—and provide a thorough picture of each student's educational journey.
